Which format should I choose?
- JPG is the safe choice for photos you want to share or upload, because every device and website accepts it.
- PNG suits screenshots, logos and graphics, and is the one to pick when you need a transparent background.
- WebP and AVIF are web formats made for small file sizes, but some older programs cannot open them.
- HEIC is what iPhones save by default. Convert it to JPG or PNG to open it on other systems.
- TIFF and BMP are older formats that produce large files, so converting them to JPG or PNG usually saves space.
- Resize image changes the pixel size or the percentage of a picture, and can also keep the file under a size limit.
